Harrasment of passenger by NFR HQs due to continuous follow up of problems by a passenger’s organisation

Organisation appeals to concerned authorities to reconsider the time schedule of the trains to avoid public inconvenience & agitation, and also unnecessary wastage of time!

Once again I on behalf of the Passengers of Malda Town to Balurghat station (District head quarters of the Dakshin Dinajpur) as well as last station of Eklakhi to Balurghat section (110 km) under NFR Katihar Division submit that inspite of our repeated apeal PCOM/NFR and GM(O) Maligoan harrassing us constantly as we reflected in our prayer.

In above 110 km there are eight crossing stations except last and starting statons (Balurghat last station, Rampurbazar, Gangarampur, Buniadpur, Deotala, Gazole, Eklakhi, Adina, Old Malda and Englishbazar) inspite of that Gour train arrives regular at 5.55 AM at Malda Town there after a link train (Gour link) starts for Balurghat at 7.45 AM and reaches last station Balurghat at 10.30 AM, though it is a journey of 2 hours. If start from Sealdah we reach Malda Town at 5.55 AM and from Malda to Balurghat at 10.30 AM practically there is no reason for this unnecessary delay.

This suffering continuing since Decembre 2004 to till date. It was drown to notice of all concerned but we become hopeless. Please try to draw the attention of GM/NFR which we failed taking by our earnest and repeated prayers.

In this connection local newspapers also trying to reconsider the time reschedule of some trains.

I once again attaching our last prayer to your honour and earnestly apeal to take remove harrasment and oblige –

Under painful necessity, we are to inform you regarding rescheduling of different trains which is causing tremendous difficulties on the part of the people (users) of this area for availing the oppertunity of train facility which runs as under :-

1. Train no. 03162 Tevaga Express which leaving Balurghat and reaches Malda Town at 8 AM the departure time from Balurghat should be at 6.30 AM. practically in the winter season.

2. Train no. 03161 Tevaga Express:- New time of departure from Malda Town is 19.30 hrs and arival time of Balurghat at 23.15 hrs inordinate delay in between Malda Town to Balurghat should be reduced and rescheduled so as to reach Balurghat by 21.00 hrs. positively.

3. Train no. 03064 Howrah-Balurghat reaches Malda Town at 15.25 hrs and reaches Balurghat at 18.05 hrs this train can normaly cross Rampur Bazar (in case of any emergency can cross nearby Gangarampur or Buniadpur Station) to  avoid inordinate delay every day.

4. Train no. 03064 Balurghat-Howrah Express leaves Balurghat at 20.45 hrs and reaches at Malda Town at 23.10 hrs this train can cross Tevaga Express at Rampur Bazar eassily to avoid unnessery delay and considering the dangarous problems both safety, security & Buses or any vehicle to go at the remote part of the district. We are crying to reduce the arrival time of this train but you badly deffered and rescheduled the time.

5. Train no. 05422 Dn Gour link leaves from Balurghat at 16.45 hrs and reaches Malda Town at 19.30 hrs. Train no. 05421 Gout link leaves Malda Town as scheduled at 7.45 hrs and reach at Balurghat at 10.35 hrs (it is too late) we draw your kind attention that Gour Express reachs at Malda Town daily at by 6.00 AM then why it (Gour link) is left Malda Town at 7.45 AM. everyday. It could eassily leave at 6.30 AM from Malda Town so that it could reach Balurghat earlier by crossing at Rampur Bazar so that office comming people could reach by 8.30 AM to 9-00AM eassily.

6. Although Train no. 55772 DMU between Balurghat Malda Court was stopped earlier but it has not resummed running as yet which should be run immediately with staring and departure time from both side should by adding 30 minutes plus.

So, 0n behalf of passenger’s organisation Eklakhi Balurghat Rail Yatri Kalyan O Samaj Unnayan Samity, I appeal to you honour to reconsider the time schedule of above trains to avoid public inconvenience and agitation regarding unnesseary waistage of time. If it is not considered, passengers, public would agitate in all startway to reconsider the timings forthwith. This refers to verbal talk with you on 22.11.2021 at 11.05 AM and so also DRM Katihar Division on 21.11.2021 at 1 PM.
