Electronic Interlocking commissioned at Baad Station-3rd largest yard of Agra Division
New EI with 359 routes to ensure seamless and safe operations on the very busy Agra-Delhi route
Prayagraj Bureau: North Central Railway achieved yet another milestone by commissioning new Electronic Interlocking (EI) in connection with Baad passenger yard remodelling and Farah-Baad 3rd line work on 08.03.23. Baad yard is third biggest yard in Agra division. This EI has been commissioned at Baad station on Agra cantt-Mathura Section thus providing 359 routes for better flexibility in train operations. The new interlocking will help in ensuring safe and seamless train operations in the section.
This complex work included 47 Point Machines-47 (36 new and 11 existing), 28 Signals and 41 shut signals. Complete yard track circuiting has also been provided in redundancy with DC track Circuit & MSDAC. Integrated Power Supply system has been provided for reliable power supply for signalling equipments.
In order to strengthen safety preparedness and enhance monitoring 4 Data logger (BAD central, A cabin, B cabin, C cabin) has been provided. These data loggers will be monitored online from control office. New Electric Operated Lifting Barrier at Level crossing no. 522, 523, 524 have also been provided in place of existing overaged barrier.
Earth leakage detectors, fuse alarm system, fire alarm system have been provided at BAAD to ensure safety of signaling equipments and asset reliability.
