Failure of FOB in Balharshah-Indian Railway’s Morbi
Shouting and scolding doesn’t help CRB and Railway Minister both-how would you restore morale of your senior leaders who are feeling cheated by the environment created under your watch!
#RailWhispers has been repeatedly bringing to the kind notice of Hon’ble Minister for Railways and Chairman CEO Railway Board that morale of Indian Railways frontline leaders is badly hit due to adhocism and uncertainties.
We raised these issues several times, some can be seen here again:

What are signs of Kaliyug in Railways, we asked our valued patrons who are officers retired and serving at the most senior levels. They point out the following:
• Train killing people standing on a platform – now people will be scared to even stand on a platform or sit in the waiting room.
• Driver not able to apply brakes.
• Trains losing brake power and ramming passenger trains from behind-TCAS be damned.
• Even on a normal day the bridges break.
• Railwaymen forgetting how to run trains.
• Biotoilets mean instead of dirty tracks, coaches become dirty and stinky.
• You buy diesel locos at a higher price while idling thousands of your own.
• You buy a ‘state of the art’ 12000 hp electric locomotive which gives 30% less tractive effort at 30% extra price and you want to buy 1000 more of these!
• The Railway Board establishment which never faulted the rules, overlooks the CBI FIR to appoint MD IRFC.
• Railway Board vigilance and establishment fails to point out that retired CMD of RVNL cannot be made CMD NHRCL.
• The Railway Board establishment fails to point out why an officer cannot be made CVO of RDSO as he has a history of being absent without authorisation-aka absconding.
• Senior officers retire as GM but their junior unfit to become GM retire as their superiors as members.
• All looking after GMs and Members fail to become on the GM panel despite being in Level-16.
• All senior officers of the Railway Board refuse to look into the conflict of interest of #Advisor with ISB and the company doing emotional testing. Make in India bypassed.
All of the above we are seeing. Why has this happened? #TenderMan has sold you the idea that we can run the entire railway system on contract – there is no premium left in hard work with assets. This approach is worse than privatisation of Railways.
Officers have been foxed as #VilliansofKhatauli have been successfully rewarded by you and your predecessor. How could you and Mr Piyush Goyal forget that this accident had cost the political career of your own senior, Mr Suresh Prabhu?
Today senior officers are foxed and are blaming themselves that they were wrong to work hard. They should have taken tuition from the #KMG instead who have spent more than 50 years in Rail Bhawan not just polishing the quality of not their own careers but also of their families!
Public Shaming does not work anymore

It would be easy to blame the GM now, but our readers say, who forced Zonal Railways’ leadership to take their eyes away from the ball?
Sir, you know the first rule taught to cricketers – do not take eyes off the ball.
Entire senior leadership of Railways is put into a scenario where they are working under their juniors, no clarity on their future, after 35 years of service asking them to fill forms and tell their own junior officers in ‘Railway Board’ about what they have done.
Spine of General Managers (GMs) has been effectively broken and these officers have been left with hurt self esteem.
Next line of command, i.e. PHODs are equally troubled.
Next line below them is of DRMs – one third DRMs were overdue by almost one year and got rotated when #RailWhispers published an article on this subject.
Branch officers (BOs) are burdened by the drives, non-core activities pushed by Stores and Personnel departments. Asset bases under BOs have massively increased, but for three years no assistant scale officer has been inducted.
Putting an endless number of ADRMs, ENHM, GatiShakti, Energy Management has made Zonal Railways totally off the balance. The General Manager would be successful if he can maintain even a bit of sanity in this scenario.
Remember these are senior most officers – more senior than your Board Members, but these people, at this level of seniority are made to look small before #KMG which loves to show them down at every possible opportunity. You have to listen to the jokes cracked by them.
Railways always had the majority of officers who were parasites, but the system ran on a few dedicated people who ran the system by sheer dint of their hard labour. CRB sir, these officers are your own, do not abandon them.
Please get rid of #KMG fast – please investigate all the articles on your advisory group aka #KMG, but from an independent agency.
#Railmantri ji, #KMG made your predecessors pay the price for their mistakes – “क्या खराब रिजल्ट की कीमत केवल रेलमंत्री ही चुकाएंगे?“ – delay on your part will present challenges to you and your own party in 2024-why so? Because the situation will not improve from the 3rd floor, no matter how expensive renovation #TenderMan gets done there.
The railway runs on the shoulders of people who work, live and breathe with their assets. Please respect them, not those who have spent more than 50 years in the Railway Board as a self-serving and self-perpetuating community.
The choice is yours sir- by permitting #AIDS and its vector #KMG to live and thrive, you are pushing your luck further – “Kalyug – Now Train Climbs Platform and Kills!“
Please do not do that. In less than one month at least three major blood baths have been avoided in ECR – “मंत्री जी! रेल में अगर थोड़ी सी नैतिकता और शुचिता बचाए रखनी है, तो कठोर कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करें!“, ECoR – “Kalyug – Now Train Climbs Platform and Kills!“ and CR by collective prayers of scared and worried railwaymen.
To end, let me quote from social media which showed Hon’ble PM Modiji saying, “you can sleep cozily, but I cannot as I saw a snake under your bed!”
