Central Railway: Lost money and purse handed over to passenger by the alert TC
On duty TC Shambhu Kumar Yadav found a purse full of money, Aadhar card and other important documents on Sunday, 18th July in the evening at busy Dadar station on Central Railway. With the promptness and quickness of Shambhu Kumar Yadav, his purse, money and documents were returned to him a few minutes before departure of his train.
A passenger named Salim Khan came to Dadar station to go to Kharagpur by the train no. 02469. His purse went missing on the platform no.5. Dadar station TC Shambhu Kumar Yadav, who arrived on the same platform to put the chart of waiting list passengers, saw a passenger carrying a purse lying on the ground.
On enquiry, he told that the purse was lying unclaimed. Shambhu Yadav immediately informed the RPF. On reaching the RPF office, when the purse was opened, the passenger’s Aadhar card was found in it and his name was known. There were also Rs.1100 in the purse.
Then the name of the passenger was announced. On listening announcement of his name the passenger reached running and gasping towards the RPF office. There the RPF staff confirmed the purse to be his. In the presence of RPF staff, TC Shambhu Kumar Yadav returned the purse to the passenger.
The passenger’s eyes filled with joy. His Howrah train was about to leave in a few minutes. He was overjoyed when he got his money, purse and documents back with the efforts of Shambhu Kumar Yadav.
He repeatedly thanked TC Shambhu Kumar Yadav & RPF staff, and the railway administration. Yadav’s promptness and alertness have been appreciated by all colleagues and railway employees of Dadar.
