RPF Staff opened fire on Pantry Manager
RPF constable Ashok Babu who opened fire is arrested and interrogated in GRP police station at Khammam
As per information from South Central Railway, in the Train No.12616, New Delhi-Chennai, G. T. Express, there was an altercation between Pantry Car Manager (PCM) and onboard RPF staff. One RPF constable shooted the Pantry Car Manager Thursday night on 19th March’20 at 21.15 hrs.
Information received from SCRly reveals that on 19.03.2020, at 21.15 hrs, Security Control/Secunderabad received information from Commercial Control/Secunderabad that an RPF staff on escort duty opened fire in Train No.12616 (NDLS – MAS) G. T. Express.
On receipt information, security control staff contacted the TTE in charge Nagesh who stated that RPF constable Ashok Babu, attached with Kazipet RPF post, opened fire in coach no. S/13 on pantry car manager Sunil Singh Tomar as there was an altercation with the pantry staff.
Immediately Information was conveyed to GRP Control and to local hospital at Khammam which is next halting station of the train and seriously injured pantry car manager has been shifted to Government Hospital, Kammam, he told to the control.
It is learnt that his condition is stable, RPF constable Ashok Babu who opened fire is arrested and interrogated in GRP police station at Khammam.
After receiving the information, ASC/ Kazipet proceeded immediately to Khammam by the train.
Inspector RPF Khammam had rendered all assistance at hospital.
It is learnt that later IPF/Khammam also made efforts to shift him to Secunderabad for better medical treatment.
Further it is learned that pantry car manager Tomar is now out of danger.
