Provide basic passenger amenities at Balurghat Railway station and solve the problems

The so many users related problems of Balurghat Railway station send to all concerned railway authorities via email by the Eklakhi Balurghat Rail Yatri Kalyan-O-Samaj Unnayan Samiti, Dinajpur, Balurghat, West Bengal, Chairmen Smritshwar Roy.

Roy, who is struggling last so many years for the basic passenger’s amenities at Balurghat station, but nobody cares yet. The main problems, he sent via email to senior railway officials are as under-

1. Reck point at Balurghat Railway station is urgently needed including half completed 3rd platform and other platforms for goods trains.

2. Start Delhi and Guwahati (biweekly) Express from Balurghat station.

3. Sanction of 2nd platform for newly upgreded ‘B’ class stations- a) Rampur Bazar, b) Gangarampur, c) Dewtala, d) Buniadpur stations including over bridges.

4. Renewal of licences of five coolies (Sevaks) who are working since 2004 (since the date of inaguration) but recently their licences collected by some Railway staff of Katihar division telling to renewal. Please take necessary action to renew these licences as these are not new cases.

5. One ticket collector was posted at Balurghat station on transfer but he has not joined till date.

6. One booking clerk was transfered from Balurghat to another for the above reason works hampered.

7. Computerised ticket counter till not inagureted at Balurghat for want of one booking clerk though infrastructure are completed long time ago.

8. Railwwy authorities must take necessary actuon to save the machines from permanant damage.

9. ATM counters and stalls please be started to all upgraded stations.

An urgent actions are prayed from the part of public as well as Railway users of the area, he said.
