Modi ji, Fix responsibility on those who were working without accountability!
In the season of review and rethink, with effective complete backtracking on service unification decision of December, 2019, we present sobering views of railway officers we published on February, 1, 2020, few weeks after the decision of #service-unification was taken.
We had been time and again warning #Minister for #Railways about the fiasco being created. We compliment government for this review. However, it is important that #Government of India acts on the officers who rendered such an opinion for their personal benefits and created such an #embarrassment.

“Indian Railways : The Principal Agent Conundrum” published on 07.02.2024 connected several important analytical articles we published.
We submitted that the bogey of #departmentalism which found mention in press brief after cabinet decision led to #wrong-conclusions as we wrote: “Barking Up the Wrong Tree”.
#Departmentalism has been often been talked as the bane of #IndianRailways. This led to the base idea and subsequent implementation of #IRMS which has now created a serious disruption at the #PHOD level and dried the stream of young #direct-recruits in Junior Scale.
After last #recruitment in 2019, recruitment of #engineers through much vaunted and respected engineering services examination (#ESE) by #UPSC has stalled. Despite massive investment in #tracks, #bridges, #rollingstock – the hands which will maintain and operate them to needed #Safety-standards will not be available.
We clearly mentioned that: “How would this disruption be handled”. This was classic Principal Agent Problem in play – “Moral Hazard and Principal Agent Problem of Indian Railways!”
The idea of #Advisor led Khan Market Gang (#KMG) was that #supervisors will be put on fast track to handle #technical matters betray #KMG’s lack of competence. Sadly, #KMG led political leadership to the wrong problem.
We clearly pointed out that goals of rent seeking #KMG and All India Delhi Service (#AIDS) is not aligned with that of #political-bosses and that having control over information, the flow of information to political executive is controlled.
Political leaders rely on these very #bureaucrats to assess the implementation of their directions. However, the problem arises even before that. The #KMG ensures that the priorities of the Indian Railways (#IR) are aligned with their own needs, rather than the other way around. This means that while one #Minister push for a lean #RailBhawan, another Minister expands every department and function.
CRB Saheb, No power without accountability, fix accountability
#CRB Saheb, for the mess that #RailBhawan created, you owe #explanation to the children in #GatiShakti Vishwavidyalay and youngest of your officers recruited in #IRMS. Talk to them. They are not thick skinned as your #KMG or #AIDS.
Talk to #Ministry of #HRD and shift children to #NITs and other Central Universities. Young officers need assistance and assurance about how their careers will pan.
#Poor-Indians who are helpless #Passengers as they do not have alternative but to undertake journeys which can be their last.
All those who sat over #accidents and who saw their #roles incorrectly examined by #CRS, some of them are also party to embarrassment of service unification. Punish them. With blood of passengers and careers on them, they cannot be allowed to continue #manipulate the system.

Since the Khan Market Gang (#KMG) gamed the system for a firmer grasp on power, #engineering service officers who hadn’t done anything related to engineering suddenly came to the top and ignored even the slightest hint of administrative modesty.
The highest level of #HAG officers in railway system have been trampled by this unproductive group of officers who had never ever done even one act of value for which they had been recruited by the #UPSC. Welcome to the bold new #KMG ruled world of Indian Railways.
In this we identified role of #KMG-Engineers. As they asked for the top achievements of officers much senior to them for their #IRMS in #Level-16/17 empanelment, we demanded to put #achievements of these engineers in #public-domain.
