Why is the Indian Railway in a State of Denial?

Stop pretending that nothing happened and be answerable to poor citizens who pay your salaries sir and you return favour by killing them

25th June, reminiscent of recent #Balasore, a #freight train collided with another-again in #SouthEasternRailway.

#Railwhispers has broken news on #signalling_cartels which have looted common man by increasing prices of #signalling system. #Cartels thrive on thievery and deceit. They also provide #manpower to maintain. It is hence not surprising that #MemberInfra himself wrote a letter in April this year to all #ZonalRailways that there were 4-5 cases similar to #Balasore.

Once these cartels entrench themselves, they interfere with transfer posting of officers-stage which has already come.

#Railwhispers has published on the need of #rotation without any favour.

Death of about 300 innocent lives goes to signal maintenance practices. Cartels have not just compromised the signalling department, they also compromised the station operating staff which operate panels and keep keys of signalling installations.

When we tweeted that the role of #signal_cartels should be investigated, we received a message from #SER that 25th June accidents were the result of #SPAD and that we should not spread falsehood. Nothing can be farther from truth. Is it not a fact that entrenchment in the signal department has allowed this gaping vulnerability to survive?

In 2005 #Samlaya accident of #SabarmatiExpress was identical to #CoromandelExpress accident, as was 2018 #Harchandpur, #Raebareli accident. What has kept the vulnerability alive, sustaining it? Role of #cartels is one such factor which has been talked about in railway circles for long.

Then came news that 40-50 passengers were electrocuted when #CoromandelExpress collided with a goods train.

Without detailed investigations, the claim was rejected. It is this very reason that Indian Railway wants to be in a state of denial that on station premises a young mother was electrocuted.

In each case it has been claimed that deaths did not occur due to Indian RailwayтАЩs systems. How is it possible that people are getting killed and systems are perfect?

Look at the accident on 25th June, look at the extent of damage, how can this be a simple case of #SPAD? How can this conclusion be drawn so soon? How can loco pilots be blamed so casually? Poor freight train drivers have to work with deadly #BMBS.

It is time that #IndianRailways comes out of being in a state of being in denial. People are getting killed sir, the type of #accidents which #Modi ji attended as #CM of #Gujarat in 2005, he attended same in 2023 as #PrimeMinister. But all is well !!!
