At 21:36 Train 11139 Dn arrived on Dadar PF no. 4.
At 21:39 signal no. DR S8 given upto S-15
At 21:40 Train 11005 Dn started from Dadar (T) PF-7.
Train 11139 Dn Passed DR S15 Signal at ON Position.
Travelled 10 and a half coach with Engine.
Dashed with the coach no. 044549 S1 and 114612 – S2 of Train 11005 Dn 7th and 8th coach from CSMT end same two coaches derailed.
Train 11139 Engine plus and approx two Bogies passed from fouling mark.
No injury, no casualty reported.
Primafacy cause of the dashed is the SPAD of S15 by Train 11139.
Re-railment of coaches, OHE wire and track fitness work is being carried out on war footing. This work completed today afternoon. During this period, fast line Traffic was diverted on slow corridor between Byculla and Matunga stations.
Traffic on Up fast line restored at 08.30 am today. First train passed the restored Up fast line at Dadar, 22108 Latur-Mumbai Express.
Due to this incidence, many long distance Trains cancelled/short terminated/short originated/rescheduled. Suburban traffic on Up & Down slow line was restored at about 11.00 pm yesterday which was suspended for safety reasons.
Railway administration has announced that the Passengers of cancelled trains can claim refund from any PRS centre for next 3 days.
