SER Achieves ₹10,000 Crore Freight Earning in Record Time

Kolkata, 16th October, 2026: South Eastern Railway (#SER) has achieved a significant milestone by crossing ₹10,000 crore in freight revenue on 13th October 2026, during the current financial year 2026-27.

This record has been attained ten days earlier than the previous financial year, when the same milestone was achieved on 25th October 2025. This achievement reflects the Zone’s sustained growth in freight operations and revenue generation.

Freight revenue registered a growth of 5.89% compared to the corresponding period last year, highlighting the Zone’s continued focus on operational efficiency and improved freight performance.

As of 14th October 2026, South Eastern Railway recorded freight loading of 114.17 million tons (MT), registering a growth of 5.68% over 108.03 MT during the corresponding period of the previous year.
