Centre hikes DA/DR for the Central Govt Employees and Pensioners
As a result of vigorous persuasions by Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary AIRF, who is also Secretary of the National Council (JCM), in different Negotiating Fora, and even up to the Cabinet Secretary (Government of India), the Union Cabinet has approved on 14.07.2021, a hike in the Dearness Allowance for serving Central Government Employees and Dearness Relief for the Pensioners/Family Pensioners, from 17% to 28% w.e.f. 1st July, 2021.
┬а
By this act, the Government has tried to give some relief to the Central Government Employees ┬аand Pensioners to mitigate spiralling prices of the essential commodities.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the Staff Side of the NC-JCM has already raised the issue of releasing of DA/DR with one and half year arrears.
Staff Side (JCM) had given suggestions that the Staff Side (JCM) is ready to negotiate the issue of arrears in a way that, there should not be any immediate burden on the Government, but the Employees will feel satisfy, even if this arrears is deposited in their Provident Fund Accounts or some Govet Bonds should be given to them.
Because of freezing of DA, those employees who retired between 1st January, 2020 and 30th June, 2021 have been adversely affected. The Government of India has agreed to compensate them, so that, there should not be any financial loss to them.
This is the victory of the entire Working Class, said Shivgopal Mishra.
