DA/DR: Frustration and agony among Central Government Employees and Pensioners
Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh has organized a Press Conference today on 01.07.2021 at Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh Office, Near Alkapuri Garnala, Station Road, Vadodara. President/WRMS Sharif Khan Pathan, Zonal Treasurer K. P. Gupta, N. K. Mahani, Divisional Secretary, Vadodara Division and J. M. Kakade, Chairman, Vadodara Division were present in this occasion.
Dr. M. Raghavaiah, General Secretary, National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) and Leader Staff Side NC-JCM for 34 lakh Central Government Employees including railwaymen has highlighted the following important problems in the National Council-Joint Consultative Machinery (NC-JCM) meeting. This meeting was chaired by Cabinet Secretary of Government of India.
All the Federations of Central Government Employees including National Federation of Indian Railwaymen attended the meeting.
GS/NFIR Dr Raghavaiyah has also requested Prime Minister to kindly intervene for the said important demands of railwaymen. He has also written a letter to Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman on 30.06.2021.
The following main demands were raised during the course of meeting.
1. Immediate release of three installments of DA/DR due to the Central Government Employees and Pensioners from 01.1.2020, 01.07.220 and 01.01.2021.
2. Withdrawal of NPS and restoration of the Guaranteed Defined Pension under CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
3. Payment of compensation to the Central Government Employees who died due to Covid-19 virus infection.
4. Withdraw the decision to corporatize Railway Production Units and stop Privatisation and outsourcing of permanent and perennial jobs.
5. Payment of Night Duty Allowance to the employees detailed on Night shift duty without any basic pay ceiling limit.
6. Reimbursement of the actual amount charged by the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanelled Hospitals for the treatment of Covid-19 infection.
