The 66th AGCM of NRMU (CR/KR) held on virtual platform

The special 66th AGCM of NRMU(CR/KR) was held on virtual platforms on Tuesday, 29th June, 2021. This convention was conducted strictly adhering to the COVID protocol ensuring presence of the delegates at different locations across Central Railway & KRCL wearing Masks, usage of sanitizer and keeping social distancing.
Thousands of Union members and even their family have witnessed the program joining live telecast through You Tube. By utilization of the advanced technological medium the event was made a grand success with proven viewership of more than fifteen thousand members of the Unions while it was streaming live and still continuing.
The proceedings of the convention was presided over by President Com. P.J.Shinde. All the customary proceedings were fulfilled as per prescribed Agenda. GS Com. Venu P. Nair have presented the minutes of 65th AGCM held at Madgaon in November, 2019.
The functional report of the GS was also presented by him and both was unanimously passed by the house. The statement of accounts was placed by Zonal Treasurer Com. Girish Deshpande and was approved unanimously by the house.
Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra, GS of All India RailwaymenтАЩs Federation (AIRF) was the Chief Guest of the event and Com. J. R. Bhosale, Working President/AIRF & GS/WREU also joined the convention as special invitee.
Com. Shiv Gopal Mishra while addressing the convention shared valuable information about the threats and challenges of Railway workers created by the attempt of Railway Ministry to impose retrograde policies adversely affecting the working conditions and carrier progression of Railwaymen.
He spoken about the issue of frozen DA/DR, ceiling imposed on NDA, moratorium put on recruitments, decision of surrender of posts, requirement of cadre restructuring, absorption of trained Act Apprentices and release of the report of the committees constituted to review NPS, carrier progression of Trackman and Pointsman and many other issues which has been discussed in the recently held Divisional Council and National Council Meeting of JCM held at New Delhi with Central Cabinet Secretary in the month of June, 2021.
While addressing the audience, Com. J. R. Bhosale elaborated certain issues spoken by GS/AIRF and called upon the workers to prepare themselves for a strong resistance movement if the Government fail to listen the outcry of the Railway staff. He praised the selfless work of
Com. Venu P. Nair in the interest of workers of the Railways and showered appreciation on his constant mission to help the Railway staff, their family and the poor general public during COVID period.
General Secretary Com. Venu P. Nair has extended his thanks and gratitude to the distinguished guests who showered words of appreciation for the unique functional method of Union in Central Railway & KRCL.
He also thanked the whole cadre of NRMU, delegates and other members of Union to join the convention and made it a grand success.
A grand felicitation was given to the Doctors, Nursing staff and other auxiliary hospital staff of Divisional Railway Hospital, Kalyan as a symbolic gesture of appreciation to the health workers of the country who sacrificed themselves to save lakhs of innocent lives of citizens including Railway workers and their family members. They were honoured with Shawls and Flower Bouquets amidst unstopped applause and sloganeering.
The event was concluded by a brief note of thanks delivered by the President of Union Com. P. J. Shinde.
