Kashmir Rail Link: Railway Board couldn’t find experts within India and abroad
Isn’t it surprising that for inclusion in the Sreedharan Committee Railway Board could not find experts of ability and integrity within India and abroad whose recommendations it could accept.
Instead of having to summarily reject the report of the committee, as it actually did as stated in the link below only Mr E. Sreedharan was nominated by Delhi High Court. All other members were chosen by the Railway Board.

HOW RAILWAY BOARD TRIED TO PUNISH AND SILENCE ME FOR MY PROPOSAL FOR CHANGE OF ALIGNMENT

The Committee had unanimously recommended that the existing alignment should be given up and the alignment suggested by Alok Kumar Verma, the then Chief Engineer, Northern Railway should be adopted.
The Committee was strongly critical of the manner in which the project was being handled by Railway Board, and suggested formation of a #SPV to execute the project.
Railway Board alleged that the Committee lacked ability and experience and it was also biased.
