Another Track Maintainer runover between TISI-CUE section of MMCT Division
As reported, on Wednesday, 17th March, evening at 1700 hrs, division track maintainer Snehal Suresh got runover by train no. WKB61 at Km 165/20-24 between TISI- CHOUPALE (TISI-CUE) section of Mumbai Central Division (MMCT), Western Railway while doing dressing boxing of ballast.
He was working with 10 other Trackmen doing similar work.
The location is straight track where visibility is more than 600m.
The Gang was provided with hooter and safety jackets.
Apparently he has crossed over to UP Line to drink water.
The date of recruitment of employee is 18.12.2015 and is posted in gang no. 8 at CUE.
Last medical examination has been done on 26.06.15 (medical at the time of joining) and refresher was done on 30.05.16 to 11.06.16.
He is resident of Manmad, Maharashtra. Family consists of wife and one 3 year old daughter.
Rs 25000/- funeral advance and Rs 30000/- shradhhanjali from SBF has given to family immediately.
Exgratia payment is being processed and Compassionate appointment will be processed at the earliest.
