CRS/WC inspection for Rajkot-Hapa section of Western Railway

More than 16 months abnormal time taken in reporting compliance and also new assets are proposed in the section

Large deficiencies in Electrical and S&T works were noted in the last inspection having bearing on safety

Commissioner of Railway Safety, Western Circle (CRS/WC) inspection for Rajkot (Excluding) – Hapa (Including) section of Rajkot Division of Western Railway.

CRS inspection for RE (Railway Electrification) works in Rajkot (Excl) – Hapa (Incl) was conducted on 09.09.2019 when large deficiencies in Electrical and S&T works were noted having bearing on safety and same were communicated on 10.09.19 for early compliance.

Railway has submitted compliance on 27.01.2021 as per Commission’s observations vide letter no. 16-5/546/14 dated 10.09.2019 after instructions by GM/WR & GM/CORE.

Since condition of OHE during intervening time of more than 16 months is not known due to abnormal time taken in reporting compliance and also new assets (Switching posts/ station lines etc.) are proposed in the section.

CRS/WC shall be inspecting Rajkot – Hapa section (to inspect new assets / to verify compliances / to conduct Electric engine trial) on 08.02.2021 to enable Commission to issue authorisation.
