CRS/WC inspection of Mahalaxmi and Lower Parel Workshop

Inspection of Mahalaxmi & Lower Parel Workshops of Western Railway on 01/02/2021 by CRS/Western Circle.

Commissioner of Railway Safety, Western Circle (CRS/WC), Mumbai, shall be conducting inspection of Workshops of Western Railway on 01/02/2021 as under –

  1. Lower Parel Carriage Workshop 09.00 to 13.00 Hrs

  2. Mahalaxmi EMU Workshop 14.00 to 17.00 Hrs

The following officers will be accompany during the inspection:

PCSO, CWE/WR, DRM/ADRM-MMCT, concerned CWM and concerned BOs of MMCT Division (Sr.DSO, Sr.DME, Sr.CDO, Sr.DOM, Sr.DEE/Coaching at Lower Parel, Sr.DEE(RS) at Mahalaxmi)

Indicative list of items to be given specific focus in inspection as given below –

Indicative List of Items for CRS Inspection

  1. Performance of Workshops vis- a-vis Railway Board, Zonal Railway’s Action Plan & Item wise review.
  2. Accident on Workshop account in last 10 years.
  3. Equipment failure within 100 days period from POH.
  4. Fire Safety measures initiated by Workshops in Rolling stock.
  5. New innovations carried out by workshop.
  6. Reliability Action Plan of workshop.
  7. Safety Measures taken for Pantry Cars & Parcel vans.
  8. Status of availability of vital Safety items.
  9. Cases of Staff injured on duty-last 3 years record + Shop floor staff safety measures.
  10. Wheel/Axle/Spring failures detected in new material
    procurement and during Lab testing.
  11. Training of staff for new technology.
  12. Green energy measures in workshop.
  13. Cases of Spring failures/wheel crack/Axle breake/hanging parts on line – last 3 years.
  14. Status of implementation of RDSO modifications suggested from time to time.
  15. LHB rakes related issues.
