Historic Milestone: First Kavach Commissioning of WR in Vadodara Division
Mumbai: Vadodara Division, Western Railway has achieved a quantum leap in safety standards on 30 December, 2025 with the successful commissioning of the #Kavach System on the critical Bajwa-Ahmedabad (BJW-ADI) section, first in Western Railway.

- NMS installed at Division office, Pratapnagar and Ahmedabad.
Safety Impact
This system is now fully functional to automatically mitigate safety risks, ensuring-
- Prevention of consequences arising due to Signal Passed at Danger (#SPAD).
- Automatic Speed Control (Sectional speed, Loop lines & PSR supervision).
- Protection against Head-on and Rear-end collisions.
- SOS facility
- Automatic whistling at LC gates.
