Whistle-blower Statement in Public Interest

It is stated that systemic irregularities and corruption appear to be deep-rooted in certain Public Sector Units (PSUs) of Indian Railways.

Serious concerns observed repeatedly include:

  • Tender manipulation and cartelisation
  • Preferential treatment to selected contractors
  • Extension of time granted on extraneous considerations
  • Deviation from #GCC, tender conditions & #CVC norms
  • Marginalisation of technically and financially eligible bidders

These practices, if not independently examined, undermine transparency, fair competition, and public trust, and result in loss to the public exchequer.

Railway PSUs are custodians of public exchequer and national infrastructure. Any compromise in integrity directly impacts national interest and project outcomes.

शायद अन्य मंत्रालयों के किसी #PSU में इतना भ्रष्टाचार नहीं होगा जितना रेलवे के सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों में है! यहाँ सब कुछ SETTING का खेल है—

  • Tender manipulation
  • Favourite contractors
  • Extensions में खुलेआम रिश्वत
  • Honest bidders बाहर, सेटिंग वाले अंदर
  • Transparency नाम की कोई चीज नहीं
  • Merit की यहाँ कोई जगह नहीं
  • Public money का खुला दुरुपयोग

अगर ये Nation-building PSUs हैं, तो फिर ये “private loot clubs” कैसे बन गए?

PSU मजबूत होंगे तो देश मजबूत होगा—लेकिन भ्रष्टाचार रहा तो PSU ही देश को कमजोर करेंगे। अब चुप्पी नहीं, #Audit हो, #Vigilance चेक हो, #CBI जांच हो—सारी गतिविधियों को सामने लाया जाए।

Urgent need for:

  • Independent Audit
  • Vigilance & CVC scrutiny
  • Time-bound inquiry by competent authorities
  • Accountability of decision-making officers
