Central Railway’s alert Lady Ticket Examiner identifies fake season ticket

Central Railway’s, Lady Ticket Examiner, Mrs Sujata Kalgaonkar detected a passenger travelling with a fake Season Ticket on 15.11.2025

The Ticket Examiner, #SujataKalgaonkar working in CSMT-Kalyan Special Squad while on duty at Masjid station on 15.11.2025 was checking the tickets of passengers. A passenger produced a Second class Quarterly season ticket no. UFV-291148415 from CSMT to Dadar valid from 20.08.2025 to 19.11.2025.

Mrs Sujata on suspicion enquired from the passenger as to where the Season ticket was issued from. The passenger said it was issue from Masjid station where as the season ticket displayed station of issue as Byculla. On further questioning, the passenger told his name was Shamin Shaikh whereas the season ticket displayed name as Mohammed Dilshad.

Mrs Sujata sensed that the season ticket was a fake one. She immediately informed the concerned and the person was taken into custody & an FIR was registered. The offender has been handed over to the GRP/CSMT for further action.

Mrs Sujata’s alertness and sharp thinking has blown the lid of a fake ticketing racket which is under further investigation. Her dedication towards duty has set an example for others to follow.

Central Railway appeals to their esteemed passengers to please travel with valid tickets and to get the tickets issued from authorised vendors or counters or online.
