Growth in SER’s freight loading and earnings

Kolkata: #SouthEasternRailway (#SER) has loaded 104.62 Million Tonnes of originating #Freight in the April-September of the current financial year 2024-25, which is 2.84% higher than the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

There has also been an increase of 6.93% in originating freight revenue in April-September, 2024 in comparison to the same period of last financial year.

During April-September 2024. The revenue generation from originating freight loading has been ₹9572.01 crore as against ₹8955.44 crore during the same period of the previous year.

SER has loaded 27.16 Million Tonnes of #Coal during April-September, 2024 which is 8.08% more than the corresponding month of last fiscal.

SER has also loaded 53.10 Million Tonnes of #IronOre during this period, which is 2.45% more than the corresponding months of last fiscal.

Other major commodities of freight loading were Pig Iron and Finished #Steel, #Cement, #Food grains, #Fertilisers etc.
