SER’s remarkable freight loading performance continues

Kolkata: #SouthEasternRailway has loaded 17.07 Million Tonnes of originating #Freight in the month of April, 2024 as against 16.64 Million Tonnes loaded in April 2023, registering a growth of 2.52%.

South Eastern Railway achieved record freight loading of 211.60 Million tonnes in the last financial year (i.e. 2023-24) and this increasing trend has also continued in the first month of the current fiscal.

There has also been an increase of 5.47% in originating freight revenue in April, 2024 in comparison to April, 2023. In April, 2024, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has been ₹1547.73 crore as against ₹1467.45 crore in the same month of the previous year.

South Eastern Railway (#SER) has loaded 4.38 Million Tonnes of #Coal in April, 2024, which is 5.80% more than the corresponding month of last fiscal. Other major commodities of freight loading during April, 2024 were #IronOre, #PigIron & Finished #Steel, #Cement, #Foodgrains, #Fertilizers etc.
