Convenor of JFROPS and General Secretary of AIRF, Shiva Gopal Mishra said that the Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme is the main issue of all those Central and State Government including Railway employees who have joined the Government service from 01.01.2004.

All government employees and railway employees, including defence, teachers and government production units, etc., have been carrying out vigorous agitations and demonstrations from the state level to the central level regarding the Restoration of Old Pension, in which Historical Demonstration in  Ramleela  Maidan on 10th August 2023 also included.

Com. Mishra further said that despite so many movements of government employees, the government has not yet paid any special attention in this direction, after which, before giving notice of General strike, one more opportunity is being given to warn the government, under which all government employees, defence, teachers and railway employees will sit on hunger strike in this bitter cold from 8 to 11 January 2024 at their respective headquarters, factories and units besides Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

And, they will demand from the government the restoration of their old pension scheme. Because now there is a lot of anger among the employees against the stubbornness of the government and they are becoming very aggressive in demanding the restoration of the old pension. He further said that these employees have now given the government one last chance, after which the notice of General strike will be given directly to the government, for which all responsibility will be on the government.
