Look at the light of irony that the officer who openly played with the #Safety of passengers while being a #PCME/#RCF, has been handed over the responsibility of safety of the entire #IndianRailways in the form of DG/Safety in the #RailwayBoard.
Since last 2 years, #Railwhispers is shouting from rooftop that #RCF has turned out hundreds of coaches with seats and berths having cushioning material as PU Foam without conducting and tests in respect of fire and smoke properties.
A particular firm, in active connivance of the then PCME – who is now DG/Safety in #RailwayBoard. – was permitted to use Highly toxic hazardous spurious PU Foam without conducting any inspection least to say without conducting and test of fire safety.
We challenge even if it is tested today, it is bound to fail on all fire safety norms. It is an alert and warning call for everyone before it causes havoc in case of any fire incidents in those coaches.
It is also mention that the #Railwhispers earlier written that the hundreds of coaches were manufactured by #RCF_Kapurthala and put into service with seats and berths having cushioning material as #PUFoam without conducting any inspection of #fire and #smoke test properties.
Highly hazardous and toxic #PUFoam was used in hundreds of coaches without conducting any test of fire safety. God forbid, if any such coach is caught with fire, it may turn into a gas chamber.
Complaints lodged were suppressed in active connivance of the concerned firm and greedy railway officers.
Even today, if proper tests in respect of fire properties are conducted, truth will come out. However, unless and until, fire incidents happened and passengers life are lost, concerned officers would continue to sleep. They are waiting for another disaster to happen!
