India has set a benchmark for building and scaling digital public infrastructure -Bill Gates

Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in a meeting with Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s Minister for Railways, Telecommunications and Information Technology said, “India has set a benchmark for building and scaling digital public infrastructure”.

He also thanked Ashwini Vaishnaw for a great discussion about how lessons from India can be used for the rest of world!

During the meeting Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasised the importance of standards and platforms in driving constant innovation.

माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के सह-संस्थापक और बिल एंड मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशन के सह-अध्यक्ष बिल गेट्स ने भारत के रेल, दूरसंचार और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के साथ एक बैठक में कहा कि “भारत ने डिजिटल पब्लिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के निर्माण और विस्तार के लिए एक अनुकरणीय बेंचमार्क स्थापित किया है।”

उन्होंने अश्विनी वैष्णव को एक उत्कृष्ट वार्ता के लिए भी धन्यवाद दिया जिसमें कि कैसे भारत से सीखे हुए ज्ञान का शेष विश्व के लिए उपयोग किया जा सकता है, विषय पर बात हुई।

बैठक के दौरान रेलमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने निरंतर नवाचार हेतु मानकों और प्लेटफार्मों के महत्व पर जोर दिया।
