This Railway Minister is the last HOPE for this type of revolutionary administrative reforms
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has the experience, vision, reason and guts too to do this “Mother of all Reforms” after independence in Indian Railways
The APARTHEID of this unequal, arbitrary, unconstitutional, inefficiency and corruption-pro system must be abolished
If the Minister for Railways Ashwani Vaishnaw changes 52 year criteria for DRMs and allow the complete batch of Services to be considered suitable for proving their suitability for DRMship in front of Selection Board, then this will be the “Mother of all Reforms” done after independence in Indian Railways.
Is it not very surprising that till now, DRMship is being decided by the Babus/OS of Railway Board in a mechanical fashion as it is based upon prefix eligibility criteria i.e. 52 years age at the time of empanelment only (which includes routine D&AR and Vigilance clearances like customary formalities).
In Indian Railway’s, the most important cutting edge post of DRM is ridiculously based upon “prefix eligibility criteria” rather than “Suitability and Selection”.
Is it not the classical example of something like “Match Fixing” in a government system, which is ultimately and squarely responsible for very poor performance by Indian Railways as a Team.
If Minister for Railways wants to make a system to perform and excel, then he will have to SELECT the PERFORMERS.
But here Railway has simply fixed the match for some chosen ones by unconstitutionaly fixing eligibility criteria of 52 years and deviously skirted the way to search the PERFORMERS through┬аSuitability (SAG) cum Selection – interview by Selection Board.
Forgoing 52 years eligibility criteria and considering complete batch of Services eligible for appearing in front of Selection Board for DRMs post is the only way to make the “Mission Impossible” possible to put the Indian Railways on right track.
Even for the empanelment of Joint Secretary, Government of India, DOPT considers the complete batch, then from where this “Buddhist enlightenment” dawn upon the Babus of Railway Board for making 52 years eligibility criteria for DRM empanelment?

If Minister for Railways do this he will fulfill all dreams of Prime Minister and people of the nation related with Indian Railways by 2024 without fail.
