NRMU/CR delegates met Chairman/CEO Railway Board & handed over a memorandum
A Nine members delegation of National Railway Mazdur Union (NRMU-CR/KR) led by General Secretary Com. Venu P. Nair met Suneet Sharma, Chairman/CEO, Railway Board in the chamber of GM/CR on Monday, 8th November, 2021. General Manager, Central Railway Anil Kumar Lahoti was also present on this occasion.
While extending a warm welcome to CRB/CEO, the General Secretary honoured him with a shawl and flower bouquets and exchanged pleasantries.
CRB had responded back to the General Secretary very enthusiastically and enquired about his well being.
After that General Secretary handed over a memorandum to CRB/CEO wherein he appreciated recent decisions of CRB in the interest of railway employees which includes disbursement of PLB, favourable recommendations in the subject of higher GP to Technical Supervisors and removal of pay ceiling imposed upon NDA and the decisions taken to hold regular physical PNMs and conduct of DC/JCM in schedule.
A memorandum containing following prominent issues represented by NRMU (CR/KR) and taken up by GS/AIRF was handed over to CRB who very keenly gone through it and have conveyed positive comments on all of them.
1. Compliance of the assurance given in the DC/JCM meeting for continued functioning of Byculla Printing Press and regular allocation of work to this establishment.
2. Prevent commercialised monetisation of Parel Workshop sports stadium.
3. Exclusion of Kalyan & Bhusawal Railway School from rationalization.
4. Exclusion of KRCL from the National Monetisation Pipeline Plan (NMP) and its merger with Indian Railways.
5. Upgradation of the pay level of LP(M), CLIs & Mail Guards with allocation GP Rs. 4600/- and above.
6. Exemption to award winning employees to wear uniforms when they called to the special functions to receive their respective awards.
Apart from the above General Secretary has expressed his thanks and gratitude to CRB for commissioning of the sophisticated, centralised Airconditioned Running room at CSMT and requested his support for completion and commissioning of a similar Running Room at PANVEL which is under construction.
CRB immediately assured his whole hearted support to the demand of the General Secretary and urged GM/CR to obtain suggestions from NRMU (CR/KR) and consider them to be put in place before its completion.
CRB has advised the General Secretary to review the development consistently and report it to the GM/CRly.
GM/CRly Anil Kumar Lahoti has also cordially invited the suggestions of NRMU (CR/KR) and urged the General Secretary to update him about the
requirements.
Thus the meeting of the delegation of NRMU (CR/KR) consists of Comrades P. J. Shinde (President), Arun Manore (Wrkg President), Shyam Nayak, Vivek Nair, PTS Raja, Kamakshi Bagalwadikar (All AGSs), John Oommen (ADS/BB) & Sikander Khan (WCM) led by General Secretary Com. Venu P. Nair was extremely successful in terms of the love, affection and regards exchanged by the highest office of CRB/CEO/Rly Board and his positive response towards the brief but effective representation of GS/NRMU (CR) in the interest of the workers of Central Railway & KRCL.
