Entitlement of Personals Saff for Cabinet Ministers is only 15, from PS to Peon as per DoPT circular dtd. 26.05.2014.

Yet Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal has over about 200 personal staff. Of them – about 60 each at his residence in Delhi and Mumbai with full fledged Railway Catering units.

Additional staff about 80 persons in Rail Bhawan including JS level officers.

As per information, Even Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi is also have about 100 personal staff with him though entitled only for 13.

No wonder Ministry of Railways is a always popular Ministry for the politicians.

Even an age old and necessary, even justified facility of TADKs of Railway Officers is called wasteful expenditure?

A retired Board Member gave his opinion as, “There is a lot of controversy regarding personal staff for Railway officers known as TADK (Telephone & Dak Assistants).”

He said, “In my opinion two separate issues regarding the purpose of this are getting seriously and unnecessarily mixed up! Also, where do we begin?”

Another senior officer said, “Everyone who is holding such posts misusing their positions and utilizing their under staff for their personal amusement.”

PMO and PM Narendra Modi is hereby requested to Please enquire the matter seriously and take necessary action as per set guidelines immediately.
