Record freight loading by South Eastern Railway in the financial year 2019-20
SER has also surpassed Railway Board’s target of 164 million tonnes of freight for the fiscal 2019-20 by loading 7.33 million tonnes
Kolkata : South Eastern Railway, during the financial year 2019-20, has loaded 171.33 million tonnes (approx) of freight as against 154.87 million tonnes loaded during the last fiscal (2018-19), thus achieving a growth of 10.63%.
The incremental loading of 16.46 million tonnes is the highest incremental loading ever achieved by South Eastern Railway.
This remarkable loading performance is all time highest of South Eastern Railway since its trifurcation in 2003.
Moreover, SER has also surpassed Railway Board’s target of 164 million tonnes of freight for the fiscal 2019-20 by loading 7.33 million tonnes i.e. 4.47% more than the target.
South Eastern Railway’s performance in punctuality front has also been quite remarkable during the financial year 2019-20.
The overall punctuality of Mail/Express, Passenger and Suburban Trains has been 89.96%, which is 0.29% more than last year.
The punctuality of Mail/Express Trains has been 79.73% which is 2.58% more than last year.
