Ashwini Vaishnaw Dedicates to the Nation passenger amenities work at 65 railway stations
Jaipur: Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw visited Khatipura Railway Station Thursday, 16.10.2025 and unveiled significant initiatives aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and delivering modern, efficient railway services in Rajasthan. These initiatives mark another step toward transforming the state’s rail infrastructure and improving the overall travel experience for passengers.
Ashwini Vaishnaw dedicated passenger amenities works completed at 65 railway stations across Rajasthan—including stations such as Ramsar, Siwani, Luni, Pirthvirajpur and Bhagat ki Kothi—through video conferencing. These upgrades include improved waiting areas, enhanced lighting, upgraded sanitation facilities, seating, signage, and accessibility features, ensuring safer, cleaner, and commuter-friendly stations.
To further improve passenger comfort, the Railway Minister also launched the new practice of printed blanket covers in all AC classes of Jaipur–Asarva Express, promoting hygiene, uniformity and better onboard experience.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that railway development is progressing on multiple fronts—introduction of new types of trains, construction of new stations, laying of new tracks, completion of electrification, and creation of modern maintenance depots. However, the main focus remains bringing a meaningful transformation in the lives of passengers.
In the Union Budget 2025–26, ₹9,960 crore has been allocated for railway infrastructure works in Rajasthan, driving rapid expansion and modernization. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, 85 stations are being redeveloped. Out of these 8 have already been inaugurated this year. The state now operates 12 Vande Bharat services, providing faster, safer, and more comfortable travel across major routes.
These initiatives reflect Indian Railways’ commitment to building modern, efficient, and passenger-focused infrastructure in Rajasthan.
