General Manager inspects Rourkela – chakradharpur section during annual inspection of Chakradharpur Division

Kolkata : General Manager, South Eastern Railway Sanjay Kumar Mohanty conducted a detailed inspection of Rourkela-Chakradharpur Section of Chakradharpur Division along with Divisional Railway Manager, Chakradharpur, Vijay Kumar Sahu and all Principal Officers from SER Headquarters on Friday, 31st January 2020).

During his day-long inspection, General Manager inspected Stations, Electric Loco Shed, Railway Colonies, Curves, Gangs, Limited Height Subways, Bridges, Tunnel, Traction Sub Station, Yards, Manned Level Crossing Gates, Track Machines etc. of this section.

General Manager, during the inspection, met and interacted with the public representatives, passengers and local people at Rourkela, Manoharpur and Chakradharpur and assured them to provide better services in respect of passenger amenities, safety and security of the rail users.

Shri Mohanty while conducting inspection, thoroughly inspected Karo Railway Bridge, Curves in between Manoharur and Posoita, Railway Tunnel at Saranda, Limited Height Subway in between Manoharur and Posoita, Traction Sub Station at Goilkera Yard, Track Machines near Goilkera etc. over the section.

GM’s inspection also included Electric Loco Shed at Rourkela, Railway Colony at Manoharpur, Goilkera Yard and railway stations viz. Rourkela, Bisra, Goilkera, Manoharpur etc. along with railway colonies at various stations. Shri Mohanty also inspected Divisional Railway Hospital, Crew Lobby and Running Room at Chakradharpur.

General Manager inaugurated Newly Renovated Gymnasium of South Eastern Railway Sports Association at Chakradharpur.

During day long inspection, Shri Mohanty urged all officers and staff to be more careful o­n safety of train operations. A speed trial at 130 kmph was conducted between Goilkera and Chakradharpur to assess the condition of the railway track.
