The sacred land of Veer Birsa Munda, #Jharkhand, holds its unique identity. Known for its revolutionary movements and mineral wealth, the state has witnessed an unprecedented story of railway modernization and expansion under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efforts of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

In the past decade, the state has made remarkable progress in expanding and modernizing its railway network. The construction of new railway lines, doubling of tracks, electrification, modern stations, and the introduction of semi-high-speed Vande Bharat trains have ushered Jharkhand into a new era of railway connectivity.

Historic Entry of Vande Bharat in Jharkhand

In the past decade, Jharkhand has achieved numerous milestones in industrial, cultural, and infrastructure development. Now, the Vande Bharat Express is taking this glorious journey even further. On June 27, 2023, a new chapter was written in Jharkhand’s history when the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express was flagged off.

Vande Bharat was not just a train, but a symbol of Jharkhand’s progress, technological innovation, and rapidly expanding railway network. Today, 12 Vande Bharat trains operate in Jharkhand, connecting 14 districts and covering 22 stops, helping passengers reach their destinations.

A New Revolution in Jharkhand’s Development

The semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express is elevating Jharkhand’s railway connectivity to new heights of modernity and convenience. With its fast, safe, and comfortable travel experience, this train is linking various districts of the state with a robust and fast railway network. This, in turn, is boosting business, tourism, and industries.

The arrival of Vande Bharat Express in Jharkhand is not just a change in rail travel but also a significant step towards the overall development of the state. This train is not only connecting Jharkhand to other parts of the country more quickly but is also helping empower and strengthen the people of the state.

Jharkhand is no longer just a land of minerals and resources; it is becoming a model of technological innovation and development. With the wheels of Vande Bharat running on Jharkhand’s tracks, progress is being talked about.

Despite limited cooperation from the state government, the central government has allocated ₹7,306 crores for Jharkhand’s rail projects in the financial year 2025-26, indicating that the Government of India treats all states equally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all) has proven to be a milestone in building society and the nation.
