Mahakumbh-2025: Passengers will be able to make tickets with scanners installed on railway employees’ jackets

Prayagraj Bureau: Keeping in mind the Maha Kumbh 2025, the North Central Railway has made special arrangements for the convenience of devotees coming to Prayagraj.  #Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway (#NCR) has launched an innovative initiative to simplify and facilitate the #ticketing process using #digital technology.

During the #Mahakumbh, the #Karmayogi of the #Commercial Department of the #Railways will be posted on special duty at Prayagraj Junction and will wear green jackets. A #QR-code will be inscribed on the back of these jackets, which devotees can scan with their mobile and directly download the Unreserved Ticketing System (#UTS) mobile app.

This app will allow passengers to book unreserved tickets without standing in queues. With this initiative, devotees will be able to get tickets easily while avoiding crowds and long lines at the railway station. This process of ticket booking through digital payment will not only save time but also provide a hassle-free experience to millions of devotees visiting during the Maha Kumbh.

Railway personnel wearing green jackets will render their services at stations and at various important places, so that passengers can get assistance related to ticket booking everywhere. Scanning the QR-code will provide a link, which will take you directly to the UTS app. Through this, passengers can avail ticket booking as well as other facilities.

This initiative of North Central Railway will prove to be a step towards #Digital-India and a big relief for the devotees coming to #Mahakumbh-2025. This effort of the #Railways will make the experience of pilgrims even more memorable.
