Why are senior citizen neglected by the Govt?

Whole life they paid income tax, saved lakhs of rupees in the PF, PPF, NSC, insurance etc to help Govt for five years plan, even given gold in case of war, when no country is giving loan or financial helps at that time today senior citizen at that time young help India to grow.

Today only income tax rebet of 50000/- given them as a piece of roti to dogs.

Mind Well senior citizens are the backbone of economy.

How they are traveling, once or twice in a year.

So the government should think over their decision and give maximum benefit in income tax as what is average pension retired employees 30 to 40 years back.

And, reconsider matters for Railway concession, have a data how many senior citizens availed concession to travel in 1st ACC, 2nd AC, 3rd AC and Sleeper class.
