Luggage compartment of a running train caught fire

Fire broke out in the last compartment of Dakshin Express after midnight on Saturday night, July 3, 2022. The train was bound to Delhi from Secunderabad.
 
Onboard staff in the train noticed fire in the last compartment near Pagidipalli railway station in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district at around 1 am on Saturday. Railway officials said that it was a luggage compartment.
 
The staff immediately alerted the driver, who stopped the train. Passengers became panic and hurried out of the train.
 
As per information, there is no one was injured or loss of any life in the incident.

Soon after hearing about the incident, rescue staff rushed to the spot in a special train from Secunderabad. Meanwhile, eight fire fighters from nearby areas doused the fire.

Railway officials started investigation into the incident. “They are not sure, but the fire incident must have happened due to overloading”, said the reliable sources.

Engine on fire

In jurisdiction of East Central Railway, a fire broke out in the engine of a train on Sunday, July 3, 2022. However, all the passengers were reported to be safe.

The train was heading to Narkatiaganj from Raxaul. An visual showed the engine in flames and smoke billowing while the journey was halted to the destination.

As per Railway administration, at about 5.25 am, Station Master reported fire. All passengers have de-boarded the train and safe, no injury, no casualties reported, the fire brigade arrived at the site at 6:06 am.
