Excess 2.51 lakh found in personal cash with on-board TC staff in a single preventive check

A Vigilance Team of North Central Railway (NCR) has conducted a historical preventive check in train no. 22411, Arunachal AC SF Exp. between Lucknow (LKO) and Anand Vihar Terminus (ANVT) on 20/12/2021.

Result of this check is as under –

1. Rs. 2,22,000/- found excess in personal cash of TT No.1, TTI/GZB.

2. Rs. 26,500/- found excess in personal cash of TT No.2, TTI/GZB.

3. Rs.2500/- found excess in personal cash of TT No.3, CTI/GZB.

Names of above highly corrupt ticket checking staff not disclosed by the vigilance team.

The names of the four Chief Vigilance Inspectors (CVIs) who have administered this out standing raid are as under:-

1. Pravin Anand, CVI/T/NCR
2. Santosh Pandey, CVI/T/NCR
3. Rakesh, CVI/T/NCR &
4. Jitendra, CVI/RPF/NCR

“There is no any such raid conducted till date in entire Indian Railways which has helped in retrieving such an enormous amount”, said vigilance sources.

Members of the ticket checking staff or any other railway employee, or even the general public if they have any such information, can be inform appropriate authority and help to stop corruption in the railway system.
