CLW ROLLED OUT 7500th ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE

CHITTARANJAN: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has always been leader in electric locomotive manufacturers of India. Performance of CLW during the fiscal that just ended, has catapulted it into the largest loco manufacturer in the world.

Shattering all previous records CLW created another history on the 25th January 2021 by producing whapping 7500th electric locomotive since beginning 1961-62.

Rajesh Tiwari, Member, Traction & Rolling Stock (MTRS), Railway Board & Ex-Officio Secretary to Government of India visited CLW on 25th January 2021 and formally flagged off the 7500th electric locomotive in presence of Satish Kumar Kashyup, General Manager, CLW from the workshop.

Earlier he inspected the CLW workshop along with General Manager and other senior officials.

MTRS Shri Tiwari had detailed discussion with Shri Kashyup, GM/CLW and senior officers of CLW and reviewed the production programme of current and next Financial Year.

Shri Tiwari congratulated and appreciated the motivated team of dedicated staff, supervisors and officers for this great achievement of CLW.

He also appreciated the efforts of General Manager for keeping its focus not only in production of electric locomotives but also on maintaining a clean, eco friendly township.

CLW has stepped into clean awareness campaign in and around its vicinity.
