RPF caught a person with 50 lakh jwellery & 25 lakh cash

Accused handed over to IT department for further investigation

New Delhi: On Thursday, 27.8.20 at about 19.40 hrs one suspected person checked by RPF staff on duty near FOB1 exit of Ajmerigate side at New Delhi Railway Station.

RPF found him carrying some suspicious article in his bag.

After interrogation he revealed that his name is Prajapati Atulbhai, S/o Amritbhai age 40 years, R/o Kimbuva, Patan, Gujrat.

He told to the RPF staff that he is going to Ahmedabad by train no. 02958, berth no. B/10, 49.

After checking, 12 gold jewellary parcel boxes in sound containing condition.

In personal search, RPF found ₹25 lakh cash and 7 more gold and diamond jewellary parcel boxes in his inner jacket.

According to him, approx value of jewellary is 50 lakh.

After that agencies related matter to Coustoms and Income tax.

Team of Coustoms came and checked.

After that Team of Income tax department, ITO Mohan Singh came to the RPF post and taken his statement.

After all formalities that person is handed over to Income tax department for further action at 10/00 hrs on Friday 28.08.2020 in the morning.

Further investigation and action will be taken by the IT department.
