SPAD: Till reaching destination, Alertness is the only solution to avoid such happenings

SSPR Arrrived 01.48 hrs

At. SSPR LP asked for relief due to dizziness, but SCR denied for relief, then train dep from SSPR at 02.20 hrs.

Train controlled at HND for 01 minute for caution order issuing

Train controlled at Home signal of MRDL From (3.12-03.25) hrs & through pass MRDL at 03.30 hrs.

Train controlled for approaching signal of IB & GATE HOME signal & entered BDPK ex yard R-9 after ensuring Home with lunar at 10 kmph prescribed speed but unfortunately LP failed to control the train before starter signal and ALP also failed to apply emergency brake due to microsleep by both LP & ALP which caused passing of starter signal in DANGER & and dashed with dead end causing severe damage to loco no. 28247/ANGL at 03.50 hrs.

BOTH LP & ALP Availed adequate rest & also alert throughout their journey till reaching home signal of BDPK station & just for a seconds microsleep, they could not avoid SPAD.

So, till reaching destination, Alertness is the only solution to avoid such happenings.
