NEW DELHI / GUWAHATI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (#CBI) Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Guwahati, has registered a regular case (FIR) against #PuskarSrivastava—former Deputy Chief Engineer (#DyCE), Northeast Frontier Railway (#NFR), Jiribam, currently posted on deputation as Chief Engineer (#CE) at Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (#KRCL)—and his wife, #SonaSrivastava, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets worth over ₹1.43 crore.

Case Assessment
The FIR records that during the check period, Puskar Srivastava and his wife spent more than their total legal earnings when combined with the property acquisitions made. Against a total income of ₹2.69 crore and expenses of ₹1.88 crore, the couple accumulated assets worth ₹2.23 crore during this timeframe.
The CBI concluded that Puskar Srivastava acquired pecuniary resources and properties amounting to ₹1,43,42,928 (53.29% over his known income sources) which could not be satisfactorily accounted for, with Sona Srivastava actively abetting the offenses. The investigation has been handed over to Inspector Dilip Kumar Baishya of CBI ACB Guwahati.
