Central Railway records remarkable revenue figures of ₹243.06 crore from Sale of Scrap for FY 2025-26

Revenue of ₹51.86 in October-2025 is the highest performance for the month of October in the last 3 years

Mumbai: #CentralRailway has recorded remarkable revenue figures of ₹243.06 crore from Sale of Scrap for the Financial Year 2025-26 (Upto October-2025).
During the month of October 2025 revenue from Sale of Scrap amounted to ₹51.86 crore which indicates a 79% increase against revenue of ₹28.93 crore in October-2024. This is also the highest October performance in the last three years.

Sale of scrap has been done at various locations on all 5 divisions, Workshops and Field Units of Central Railway and the major items of scrap sold include Rails, Ferrous scrap, Non-ferrous scrap, rolling stock, coaches and wagons.

This achievement reflects Central railway’s sustained commitment to the “Zero Scrap Mission” and improved operational efficiency in scrap disposal.

Central Railway is also a frontrunner for the Shield with rank no 1 among Zones in 10 performance parameters out of total 22.
