15 dead & 11 injured, now what is the use of high level inquiry?
Who will do high level enquiry? Every thing is fine on paper. Record investment on station beautification but not on real capacity. How can âon contractâ officers, compromised officers of Indian Railways Municipal Service do enquiry?
As per initial #ANI report, 15 people had been injured in a stampede-like situation at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday, 15 February, 2025. The incident occurred on Platform No. 14-15 at New Delhi station. The stampede occurred after 2 trains to Prayagraj got cancelled, resulting in chaos on the platform.

Entire #IndianRailways was busy discussing âtools & gaugesâ as #CRB donned his hat as so-called #Mechanical engineer – and who worked maximum tenure in the production units – educating all #Members, #GMs, #DRMs, #BOs from 1030 hrs today to 1430 hrs. This took attention of all officers away from their duties. In East Central Railway (#ECR) & #NorthernRailway today crowds spiralled out of control.
#DGSafety infact today spoke avoiding video conferencing (#VC) and allowing branch officers (BOs) to work.
#Chairman & CEO/Railway Board should ask why he has to give advice on wagon design? Why should Indian Railways grapple with assets they were comfortable with for decades?

#Safety is outcome of the #process. But when process #controllers aka officers are compromised no amount of ambush check can set system correct.
While CRB kept entire leadership of IR in his âclassâ locked in, one lecture he gave was on âcrowd managementâ and why that is a safety issue. All this while New Delhi railway station, right under his nose saw crowds spiralling out of control killing people.
Entire #RPF brass was in his class. #DRM/Delhi a fine officer not belonging to #KMG and #AIDS was also in meeting having spent hours-not on managing his division but preparing for the Q&A session to which CRB subjected his class to.
It is sad that DG/Safety warned against VC culture in the CRBâs VC asking BOs to work on ground fearlessly. But attending inane VCs is considered more important.
Time all GMs and Board learn. There is no alternative to #rotation and holding top 100 leaders to account as have argued.
Most dangerous unsafe condition in Indian Railways is unprofessional conduct due to lack of rotation. House retention is one such institutional pillar of #corruption.

Why was mega meeting kept on Saturday when it was known that most of the stations would see massive crowds? CRB meeting is preceded by several preparatory meetings all over the railway network as data gets collected robbing thousands of hours of productive work.
While #RailBhawanâs Safety Directorate is bloated with self seeking manipulators, they earn brownie points by making unreadable PPTs.
Yesterdayâs stampede calls for #sacking of #SatishKumar for his inability to act on manipulative officers who sit right under his nose. Entire Delhi division, Baroda House and Rail Bhawan is filled with officers who have spent lifetime in Delhi. Those who become DRMs like #JeetendraSingh retain their houses smug in contemptuous confidence that they would come back to Delhi.
Experts like #DimpyGarg spend entire career changing buildings and rooms in Delhi. He served as #DRM/Delhi, #PCSO and now #PCME of NR. Cannot Satish Kumar see this? Everyone who is âsuccessfulâ is a gamer-Safal DRMs keep visiting CRB with their slick before and after reports, results of drives knowing that this will give them opportunity to keep visiting Delhi.
Manish Tiwari is back in Delhi, Jeetendra Singh will come to Railway Board-with CRB praising his reporting format every one is clear that where would he go after his DRMship. In fact when these officers have to leave Delhi-they choose divisions close to Delhi where they retain palatial houses.
A senior officer said after yesterdayâs stampede, âWorst CRB in history ! Has neither any vision, nor courage of conviction, nor even any leadership quality. Through out the day, he was busy lecturing the whole organisation about safety ! And right under his nose, so many lost their lives at the national capital in Railway premises. He should be ashamed of himself. The entire organisation is completely demoralised due to these worthless fused bulbs who get chosen for such assignments. He should at least resign gracefully nowâ.
There is no alternative to âdoing your own workâ for which you are recruited. Crowds swelled on Delhi Railway Station as 100% railway leadership of Board, Zones and Divisions were busy in VC.
We have warned against VC culture. Field staff keep complaining as their BOs are busy in VCs. Every level is calling for VC of their juniors. CRB, Board Members, Additional Members, PEDs, EDs, GMs, AGMs, PHODs, HODs – each meeting is preceded by preparatory meetings. Each meeting treats the subordinates as imbeciles.
Honâble #PM Shri #NarendraModi ji and MR Mr #AshwiniVaishnaw should learn the intentions of the #DeepState in the railways and seriously think about #Rotation, inter-railway/division transfer on each & every officer on every promotion.
