Minister for Railways inaugurates newly constructed FOB at Baleshwar Railway Station
Kolkata: Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways inaugurated a newly constructed 3-meter-wide Foot Over Bridge (#FOB) at #Baleshwar Station, Odisha on 07.12.2024. Built at a cost of ₹3+ Crore.
The FOB was sanctioned in February 2024 after the visit of Minister for Railways and its #Construction was completed in December, 2024.
Pratap Chandra Sarangi, MP, Balasore, Manas Kumar Dutta, MLA, Balasore and Gobinda Chandra Das, MLA, Remuna were also present on the occasion.
South Eastern Railway has always taken initiative to provide additional passenger amenities. The FOB was planned to ensure easy movement for #Passengers inside the station. With the inauguration of this new Foot Over bridge, the commuters will be able to change the platforms safely and conveniently.

- Span Length: 1×30.55m + 1×18.589m
- Construction Cost: ₹3+ Crore
- Connecting Platforms: Platform No. 1, 2, 3, and 4
Baleshwar Station, a vital junction on the Howrah-Chennai route, is a part of the ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (#ABSS) aimed at transforming Railway infrastructure across India.
Under ABSS, Baleshwar Station is being transformed into a world-class facility with state-of-the-art amenities with a project cost of approximately ₹200 Crore.
