This exceeds all imagination in #looting the #Railways. A new “#work” has been created of cleaning #coal_wagons by the #Commercial Department of #Asansol Division of #EasternRailway and awarded in nomination basis.
The #Contractor pays ₹40 per wagon license fee to Railways for this job. He apparently makes money by selling the residual #coal in the #wagons.
Coal loading firms and experts on the subject say that, “What is the need to clean a coal wagon, when only coal is to be loaded next? This is pure wastage of public money!” Experts believe that in any case, #cleaning should be done by the #Mechanical Department, not #Commercial, if there is a need at all.
