Railway Board’s urgent direction to all GMs & DRMs

Railway Board has given some URGENT instructions and directions to all GMs and DRMs about high voltage overhead wires for awareness and precautions as under –

1. Special Drive to be launched for making all railwaymen (including all running staff and operating, electrical, C&W, S&T, Engineering staff etc) as well as public, aware and to take all precautions against high voltage overhead wire in newly electrified sections.

2. Also to be re-iterated in other sections which are electrified earlier.

3. Drive to include regular announcements at crowded places besides display of suitable banners, posters, one to one counselling, provisions of statutory warning/caution boards etc.

4. Suitable drive should also be launched in loco sheds (especially diesel sheds holding electric locos) to educate staff to take all necessary preventions.

5. 100% coverage of all railway staff must be ensured and documented properly.
