But even more bizarre is this Executive Director, Rolling Stock, Railway Board (ED/RS/RlyBd) message –

“ED/RS/RlyBd advised to every crew (Loco Pilots, Assistant Loco Pilots) that check under gear of locomotive very carefully and not allowed to defective locos on line. If filling sefty hazzard is spacially overdue for shedule loco.

Loco to be check as under –

1. While taken over charge
2. On every halt (in journey) in case if possible
3. At destination before handing over staff”

What a bankruptcy! Why should I mince words! Said a senior IRTS officer.

A retired mechanical officer say, “After the public statement that, “it appears a sudden failure in equipment led to the accident.. the issue was with the locomotive’s equipment, not with speed restrictions or tracks..” wether it will be possible to give any report by any CRS, against this emphatic announcement by the Railway Minister?

On the above statement an retired electrical officer said, “it means he has doubt on the MR’s statement and denying that the equipment failure is not happened.”

बहरहाल, अब स्थिति यह है कि रेल अधिकारी आपस में बंट हैं। हर किसी की अपनी-अपनी राय है। मगर लोको पायलट या रनिंग स्टाफ को हर हाल्ट पर लोको की जांच और निरीक्षण करने की दी गई जिम्मेदारी को सब एक मत से मूर्खतापूर्ण बता रहे हैं।

उनका कहना है कि “जब मेरिट और परफॉर्मेंस को दरकिनार करके अक्षम, अकर्मण्य और जोड़-तोड़ करने वाले लोगों को बोर्ड मेंबर बनाया जाएगा, तब गार्डों को “ट्रेन मैनेजर” और अयोग्य कर्मचारियों को “इंजीनियर” तथा “अफसर” बनाने जैसे मूर्खतापूर्ण निर्णय होंगे। ऐसे लोग व्यवस्था में बुनियादी सुधार लाने की कोशिश करने के बजाय अपने व्यक्तिगत हितों को ध्यान में रखकर सरकारी निर्णय लेते हैं। इस पर तो सरकार और रेलमंत्री को ही गंभीरतापूर्वक विचार करना होगा!”
