Rail Budget time has come

Since Modi 2.0, Indian Railway has gone into the Red and remained in the Red! A former Member Mechanical, Railway Board said.

He say, “Last year instead of Budget we heard more of what Indian Railway will be in 2030!”

“We hope that this year Indian Railway will talk about 2021 & 2022 figures rather than primarily it’s futuristic plans!”

“This year Indian Railway will enter it’s 170th year and it will be interesting to take note of the signs of recovery in IR!” He said.

Let us make suggestions for the next budget wrt Railways.

Another veteran rail expert Mr. S. K. Vij, former Member Engineering, Railway Board suggest, Railways should run and expand remaining economically viable.

All rail systems HSR, RRTS and Metro rails be BG only. K-line in Kerala be BG only.

All hill rails may be MG or NG.

Let DFC’s contribution to economic strength of Railways and not push Indian Railway into red as it appears so far, he remarks.
