This media blitzkrieg by CRB is unwarranted, he is trying to lap up public support for the ill-thought and ill-fated decision!

- This media blitzkrieg by CRB is unwarranted, he is trying to lap up public support for the ill-thought and ill-fated decision!

This is like trying to justify a decision taken in haste, when so many changes are proposed like prospective merger, civil service exam/separate exam, creation of senior posts to the original plan, shows that there was no plan but just an urge to create headline!
-
When it’s being said no decision will be taken without consultation, why no consultation was done before taking the decision of merger?
-
The head of the organization is creating confusion after confusion to justify an indefensible decision!
-
This public propaganda by CRB shows he will not go into the committee of Secretaries with open mind and will not discuss the modalities on merit. He must be removed from the committee for an honest evaluation.
Cadre Merger is a ridiculous idea. The future generations of Indians will not pardon the current “Nizam” for this dirty tricks to destroy this great organisation. Indian Railways is in need of true reforms which must address the following:
-
Electrification in less traffic sections instead of required sections. Moreover it is done in patches, it will simply increases the expenditure without fetching any benefit to Railways.
-
Due to delayed execution of projects, such as Doubling, Electrification etc. project costs are increasing.
-
Bio-toilets project, which has spent 13.7 billion rupees and now considering to upgrade them to Vacuum Bio toilets at a cost of Rs.62.5 billon. It is simply lack of vision and hurried decision making to favour some particular company or the department.
-
Freight trains are given stepmotherly treatment when compared to passenger and Express trains. Freight trains are loosing the path and slowly taking away customers towards Roadways.
-
Growth in Freight and Passenger traffic is falling there by consequently operating ratio is coming down. Instead of focusing on these issues bringing IRMS will affect the morale and motivation of those officers, who are carrying the responsibility of earnings with minimal and sub standard resources available in hand.
-
Huge number of very costly work- charged posts if technical departments created at middle and top levels are never surrendered. This has swelled all the establishment cost..
