“विजिलेंस में हम लोग कमाने ही तो आते हैं!”

“ये वही सुरेश चंद्र जैन उर्फ एस. सी. जैन हैं, जो मध्य रेलवे में स्टेशन मास्टर कैडर से विजिलेंस इंस्पेक्टर बने थे और बोलते थे कि विजिलेंस में हम लोग कमाने ही तो आते हैं, और इन्हें विजिलेंस इंस्पेक्टर रहते हुए भी #CBI ने पकड़ा था, लेकिन कुछ समय बाद ही ये विजिलेंस के ही दम पर प्रमोट होकर ग्रुप ‘बी’ अफसर बन गए। उस समय प्रमोशन में भी नहीं देखा गया कि #सीबीआई द्वारा पकड़ा गया यह व्यक्ति प्रमोशन कैसे पा रहा है! अब मुँह लगी आदत तो जाती नहीं.. फिर से धरे गए हैं.. लेकिन अब ये ग्रुप ‘ए’ हैं, तो इनका क्या होना है.. कोई छोटा कर्मचारी होता तो तभी ‘रिमूव फ्रॉम सर्विस’ हो गया होता, आज रेलवे पर यह एक और कलंक लगने की नौबत ही नहीं आती!” यह कहना है सुरेश चंद्र जैन के पुराने सहकर्मियों का! उनका यह भी कहना था कि “श्री जैन ने उस समय यह बात भले ही किसी भी अन्य संदर्भ में कही हो, मगर विजिलेंस की यह एक कड़वी सच्चाई है! इस तरह देखा जाए तो रोटेशन – खासकर पर ग्रुप-बी और ग्रुप-सी – के अभाव में रेल सिस्टम को दीमक अंदर से ही चाट रही है!”

#CBI has arrested two accused including Principal #SureshChandraJain (IRTS-Group ‘B’), Zonal Railway Training Institute (#ZRTI), #CentralRailway, Bhusawal in a #bribery case and conducted searches.

#CBI registered a case against Principal, Suresh Chandra Jain aka #SCJain, Zonal Railway Training Institute (#ZRTI), #CentralRailway, #Bhusawal on a complaint alleging demand of undue advantage by the accused.

It was alleged that the complainant Akshay Chowdhary had received a #contract through #GeM for providing #vehicles to #Railway for the period 18.05.2023 to 17.05.2025.

One of the vehicles under the #contract was allegedly deployed for #Principal, ZRTI, Bhusawal. It was further alleged that Principal, ZRTI, Bhusawal used to demand undue advantage for passing monthly bills of the #vehicle but the #complainant allegedly had not paid.

As such accused did not sign log book on time. It was also alleged that the said contract was terminated from 25.02.2024 but the #bill of the #firm for the period from 18.01.2024 to 25.02.2024 was pending as accused had not signed the said log book and demanded ₹5000/- for making signature on the log book.

Further the accused increased the amount of alleged undue advantage to ₹10,000/- and finally settled for ₹9000/-.

#CBI laid a trap and during the trap proceedings accused directed complainant to hand over #bribe amount of ₹9000/- to his staff – #YogeshDeshmukh – working as Office Superintendent, ZTRI, Bhusawal.

The Office Superintendent Yogesh Deshmukh accepted the bribe and handed over to the accused Principal, ZTRI. Both were caught red handed and subsequently arrested.

Searches were conducted at the premises of accused persons. Further investigation is continuing.
