Why Railway Minister is a mute spectator? Is Vigilance bigger than the Government?

If Railway Minister had the backing of the Prime Minister, he should quash the Vigilance Enquiry completely!

Piyush Goyal is a Cabinet Minister, but he is behaving like a subordinate to the CRB!!

Minister for Railways, Piyush Goyal said in “Parivartan Sangoshthi” that Vigilance is selectively used to ruin careers and derail promotions.

But, here is some big Questions arrive–

  • Why he is a mute spectator?

  • Is Vigilance bigger than the government?

  • Is it not the Minister for Railways’ duty to curb such nefarious practices, promote fairness and protect performers?

  • Why he make speeches only, when he can’t act on his own concerns?

  • Is it a hollow statement to distance himself from the murky developments in Vigilance, which is targeting the Officers, who built the Vande Bharat Express?

Chairman, Railway Board (CRB), who was standing next to him on the same occasion, was expressionless. He knew that he had the upper hand this time and for this expression, he may get extension on 31st December.

It is well known that Vigilance is a purely bureaucratic process and files do not go to the Minister.

So, the CRB is totally free to ruin careers of some very honest and dedicated Officers and promote his cronies.

It is a well known fact and spoken openly in corridors of Rail Bhavan that the CRB is playing a departmental and self game to recapture Trainsets from the rival department.

And, all that Minister Piyush Goyal has to say is to deliver speeches only.

He is a Cabinet Minister and is behaving like a subordinate to the CRB.

If Minister for Railways had the backing of the Prime Minister, he should quash the Vigilance Enquiry completely.

But, it seems that he too has been abandoned by PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah!
